coool

i still have the original .doc version of that poem, from when you sent it last aug

strange thought: have you tried reading poetry to the soundtrack of the sound of music? startlingly moving. haha. the words have a way of seeping into you in this ephemeral way, and Julie Andrews is always divine.

son: strange response: have you heard Gwen Stefani's mordern remake of The Lonely Goatherd/Sound of Music? It's very strange, but very very catchy (when you get the hang of it).

cyril: thank you! I know I haven't been sending to you any stuff of late, but you found my blog, and I've been writing here for the past few weeks, so do feel free to critique the poems you feel are worth criticising. : )

I will be looking forward to them then. If there are enough, perhaps I can put them up on Softblow? : )

it's really really really good. very well-caught, every scene. :) i really like the part on the businessmen.

oh boy. i really do not like the gwen's remake of that song. very wonky-catchy but still wonky over catchy.

Hi gan! How's life? Thank you for your comments! On Gwen-if you listen to it long enough, it will latch on like Kylie's leechy "I Can't Get You Out Of My Head", haha.

haha yes gwen's song is quite strange at first, but it catches on. did you know scientists discovered there are some tunes with "ear hooks" (or whatever terminology it is, can't rmb now) that hook/embed themselves into yr auditive memory, and that's why some songs are catchier than others.

this is also why britney has had a career that outlasted her talent, she just memorised ear hooks lor
